The Camarilla strategy involves two types of trading: reversal trading and breakout trading.

The important levels to watch are H3 and L3, where potential price reversals may occur, and H4 and L4, which represent important breakout zones.

Traders can observe price action around these levels and use additional confirmation, such as a completed five-minute candlestick, when evaluating potential entry conditions. False breakouts and unexpected reversals remain possible.

MCX Zinc Mini Trading Strategies and Risk Management

MCX Zinc Mini is a base-metal futures contract traded on the Multi Commodity Exchange of India. Each lot represents 1 metric tonne (1,000 kilograms) of zinc, with futures prices quoted in Indian rupees per kilogram.

1. Understand Zinc Mini Contract Value and Tick Size

The minimum tick size for Zinc Mini is ₹0.05 per kilogram.

Every ₹0.05 movement represents a gross profit or loss of ₹50 per lot, while every ₹1 movement represents ₹1,000 per lot.

For example, if Zinc Mini trades at ₹420 per kilogram, the notional value of one futures lot is ₹4,20,000.

A price movement from ₹420 to ₹423 represents a gross change of ₹3,000 per lot, before brokerage, taxes and other trading charges.

2. Identify Camarilla Reversal and Breakout Levels

M Alpha uses Camarilla levels to identify potential trading conditions.

H3 and L3 represent possible reversal areas, while H4 and L4 mark important breakout zones.

Additional H5, H6, L5 and L6 levels provide technical references for monitoring subsequent price movements.

Traders should evaluate these levels alongside price action, prevailing trends and market volatility.

3. Monitor Factors Affecting Zinc Prices

MCX Zinc Mini prices may be influenced by international zinc prices, USD/INR fluctuations, global mining production, smelting activity and industrial demand.

Zinc consumption in galvanized steel, infrastructure projects, automobiles and manufacturing can influence market demand.

Warehouse inventories, energy costs, economic announcements and international base-metal market conditions may also contribute to price volatility.

4. Manage Trade Entries, Stop-Loss Levels and Risk

Before entering a Zinc Mini futures trade, identify the entry condition, stop-loss reference, intended target and acceptable risk.

A completed five-minute candlestick around an important Camarilla level may provide additional confirmation, although false breakouts remain possible.

Zinc Mini has a minimum executable price increment of ₹0.05 per kilogram. Calculated Camarilla levels may contain other decimal increments; these are theoretical technical references and should not be treated as directly executable order prices.

Futures trading involves leverage, and Zinc Mini follows a compulsory-delivery settlement mechanism. Traders should understand margin requirements, contract expiry dates and physical-delivery obligations before maintaining positions close to expiry.

Technical levels are intended to support market analysis and do not guarantee profits.
